TREATMENT OF SPINAL DISORDERS
Honors of Dubious Merit

The following are honors that Dr Pradhan has received, for no apparent merit. There are many organizations that hand out artificial recognitions to physicians, who then have the option of purchasing magazine advertising space, framed certificates, or listings in directories that claim to list the "best doctors." At the risk of angering other doctors who list these as real achievements, the following are just some examples.

Buyer beware. I have been informed I have been recognized by unknown peer or societies, and have been listed in:
.
.
"Who's Who in America" (Marquis) - and would I like to purchase a plaque and/or certificate?
.
"Best Doctors in America" Directory - and the same offer of a framed certificate for a decent sum of money.
.
"Best Doctors of Pasadena" Directory - supposedly voted in by my "peer" and where pictures are requested to be placed in the magazine.
.
"Patients' Choice Award" Recognition - again with repeated encouragement to buy the certificate.
.
"Most Compassionate Physician Award" Recognition - again with repeated encouragement to buy the certificate.
